The Natural Animal Sense "ASH" principles of practice

Every student is taught with the following principles of practice at the forefront of every study.

• Adopt storage methods that restrict contamination of remedies
• Store remedies in a cool dry place
• Keep remedies out of sunlight
• Duly follow a duty of care
• Do not put remedies into food
• Do not force a remedy onto an animal
• Do not restrain an animal when offering natural remedies, they must be free to move or walk away
• Always ensure fresh water is available
• Seek professional advice prior to offering to cats
• Do not mix remedies together (unless advised to by a qualified practitioner)
• When offering to apply, or re-applying any remedy topically, always show to the nose of the animal what you have before offering to the body for application
• Read and be aware of the “ASH” - health and safety before following the Natural Animal Sense “ASH” principles of practice
• Keep appropriate records
• Ensure a safe working environment for the animal, the practitioner, owner and other member of the public is maintained at all times.
